  • Patricia Sue Terlip, 79, of Frontenac, KS, died at 1:39am, Friday, July 12, 2013 at her home.  She had been in ill health for three months.
    She was born July 10, 1934 in Pittsburg the daughter of Antone and Irene Mead Menghini.  She had been a resident of Frontenac her entire life.
    Mrs. Terlip attended Frontenac schools and graduated from Frontenac High School in 1952.
    She married Robert L. “Bob” Terlip on August 7, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, KS.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2012.
    Mrs. Terlip worked at Miners State Bank of Frontenac and First State Bank of Pittsburg, prior to her retirement.
    She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Altar Society,  several card clubs in the area, the Frontenac Education Foundation and the Frontenac High School Booster Club.
    Survivors include two sons Chris Terlip and his wife Kristy and Kurt Terlip and his wife Kim,  one brother A. J. Menghini and his wife Shirley all of Frontenac,  four grandsons Kaleb Terlip and his wife Beth, Colby, Corbin and Colin,  four great-grandchildren Kylar, Kal, Brinkley and Quinn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson Corey Terlip.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, with Father Thomas Stroot, as celebrant. The lector will be Neil Deplue, the soloist will be Gary Cinotto and the organist will be Sharon Barone.  Pallbearers will be Kaleb Terlip, Corbin Terlip, Colby Terlip, Colin Terlip, Anthony Menghini and Frank Papish.  Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Frontenac, KS.  The parish rosary will be recited at 6 pm Sunday at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS, and the family will receive friends after the rosary service until 8 pm.  A memorial has been established to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, the Frontenac Education Foundation or the United Methodist Church in Frontenac in care of the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at our web site www.friskelfuneralhome.com.
