  • Morning Jolt: 'Burger King baby' meets mom who abandoned her

    Katheryn Deprill, known as the "Burger King baby" after her mother abandoned her in an Allentown, Pa., restaurant in 1986, found her birth mother thanks to Facebook, CNN reported. Deprill posted on Facebook asking people to help find her birth mother, and sure enough, she did. The two recently met, said an attorney who arranged the meeting. Deprill's mother was 17 at the time of the birth, and she said she had been raped and had kept the pregnancy a secret. She wanted the baby to be found, so she left her in a Burger King.
