Benefit bike ride
One hundred area bikers are scheduled to take part in a game-of-skill ride to benefit Horses of Hope, organized by Chad Harris, Pittsburg State University social work senior.
Starting at 9 a.m., the event will include a procession of bikes out of Pittsburg, a dart game to win 25 percent of the entry fees for the benefit ride, stops in area towns, food at Horses of Hope and an exhibition by the Horses of Hope show team.
Proceeds will benefit the Horses of Hope scholarship fund which is used to help offset the cost of individuals who could benefit from therapeutic riding. As of February the fund was depleted. Cost of these services range from $1,800 to $3,000.

Cherokee breakfast
CHEROKEE — Cherokee American Legion will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.
Menu will offer five breakfast plates, each costing $6. They are biscuit and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns; two pancakes, two sausage patties and eggs; biscuit and sausage gravy, hash browns and sausage patties; two pancakes, two sausage patties and hash browns; and eggs, sausage patties and hash browns.
Coffee is included in the price. Milk or juice will be available for an additional 50 cents.

SEK Amateur Radio Club
Southeast Kansas Amateur Radio Club will have a monthly breakfast meeting at 9 a.m. at  Hardee’s in Pittsburg.
Members will discuss Field Day 2014  at Big Brutus, ARRL affiliation process and ideas for club activities.

Revival of Song
A Revival of Song with Laverne and Edith Tripp will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Pittsburg Church of God, 1107 N. Tucker.
