School bond information
GIRARD — A school bond information community meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Shireman Auditorium, Girard High School.
Blaise Bauer, Girard USD 248 superintendent of schools, will present information about the May 6 bond issue. Discussion will include the history and factors that led to the proposed bond issue, facility proposals and cost of the bond issue. District administrators and staff representatives from the architectural and bonding firm will be available to answer questions.
“The bond election on May 6 is a decision that will have a tremendous impact on the future of our schools as well as our community,” Bauer said. “I am confident that our patrons will take this opportunity to learn all they can about this issue before making their decision on how to vote. It is my hope that we will have many district patrons in attendance to welcome and share this information. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.”
There may be a quorum of USD 248 Board of Education members present, but no business will be conducted at this meeting.
