  • Weir Public Library announces reading program

  • WEIR — The Weir Public Library is already being "threatened" by area students with how many days of school are left as they watch project and craft supplies being collected for the summer reading program, "Fizz, Boom, Read!" and "Spark a Reaction."
    The program will start June 10 and run for six weeks with scheduled sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Registration will start on May 27.
    Those who don’t have their new "barricaded" library card should come in to fill out their application and check the new books that will be ready for a summer of reading.
    Anyone having questions may call the library at 620-396-8899 between 1 and 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, or 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
