I covered a paranormal investigation at the Colonial Fox Theatre. Of the photos I made that night, I like the mood that this photo gives off. We were all standing in the basement under the stage at Colonial Fox Theatre. Jasper Haunts, from Joplin, was leading the group in a paranormal investigation of the theatre. The basement was as dark as you can imagine except for the red flashlight. Trying to take a photo that was to be used in the paper in that situation is tough. I didn’t want to fire off a flash to get the photo because it would have ruined the mood for everybody participating in the darkness. So, I rested the camera on the floor and fired off long exposures of several seconds. A few worked well enough to get the point across that this was a spooky event.
