I am always trying to learn more and more about photography. I have been a photojournalist for nine years, and a photographer since I was a little kid and I still feel that I have a long way to go as far as learning is concerned and this is a good thing. I of course never plan on knowing everything, which means that there will alway be something out there to learn about. I am also a hands on learner, assigning myself photography exercises to work on with a point and shoot camera that is with me all the time. Over the past couple of days when out for a run, I have been on the lookout for designs, shapes, lines, natural or otherwise to train my eyes. A big part of what makes a photograph a good strong image is by paying attention to the details and being able to see them and hone in on them. So, like a basketball player taking extra free throws after practice, I do the same with my point and shoot camera by giving my eyes and brain something to work out and make an image of, and keeping me sharp in the process. I have added a few of those images I made during my practice session.
