The Pittsburg State track and field team were in action Saturday at the PSU Wendy’s Open Invitational at Prentice Gudgen Track. They did well and I have added a link to the story below.

Pittsburg State sophomore and Pittsburg native Keenan Soles lands during his Division II-best mark of 25 feet, 7.25 inches in the long jump on Saturday. Soles qualified automatically for the NCAA-II National Championships in May with his impressive leap through the air of the Prentice Gudgen Track during the PSU Wendy’s Open Invitational.

Bridgette McCormick (3), Kaley Temaat (obscured slightly between and behind 3 and 4), Katelyn Henderson (4) and Casey Epps (5) all finished top 10 in the run.

Pittsburg State freshman pole vaulter Jeff Piepenbrink clears the bar during the Wendy's/PSU Open at Prentice Gudgen Track. Piepenbrink tied for first in the event with a mark of 15 feet, 9 inches and this 15-9 ties Piepenbrink for the seventh-best mark in all Division II.
