Sometimes the smallest of creatures can create a really cool moment to photograph. I was feature hunting the other day searching for a weather photo as the temperatures finally cooled off a bit. I tend to always swing by the Pittsburg State Veterans Memorial to have a look around when feature hunting. I don't need much of an excuse to go there. So, as I looked around searching for photo opportunities I stopped at the reflecting pool. I always love to watch the water bugs. It looks like they are tiny boats cruising through the water. I noticed one bug swimming through the reflection of a colorful state flag. I waited for a bit and it came back and swam the pattern again. I made my photos and loved the ripples the little water bug made. I just think little things like this moment are awesome, and I get to add to my collection of photos made at the PSU Veterans Memorial.
