As I try to catch up on everything after returning to work from vacation, I wanted to first congratulate three Massachusetts breweries for the medals they won at last week’s Great American Beer Festival.
The Cambridge Brewing Company, Cisco Brewers and Framingham’s own Jack’s Abby Brewing all took medals at the GABF.
The Cambridge Brewing Company’s Heather Ale got a silver medal in the Herb and Spice beer category. In all, 114 different beers were entered into that category.
Cisco Brewer’s took the top spot in the Wood and Barrel-aged Sour Beer category. Its Lady of the Woods beat out 69 other beers to take the gold medal.
And finally, Jack’s Abby Brewing’s Smoke & Dagger took a bronze in the Smoked Beer category. In all, 50 beers were entered into the category.
The great thing about all three of these beers is you can find them all in stores. If you haven’t tried them, you really should because they are all excellent.
