Each day during the Olympics, I’ll post a nugget relating a value of sportsmanship and the Olympics to your professional life.
Today’s Olympic Nugget: Embrace what you've got to work with.
Michael Phelps is a champion because he works incredibly hard, but he also has the anthropometrics of a perfect swimmer. He's just the right size with the perfect proportions that make him amazing in the pool, but he probably wouldn't be as good at soccer or track.
We all have traits or characteristics that are naturally a part of us that put us in a better position to excel at certain things. Rather than force ourselves to do something against what are "designed" to do, embrace what works for you and use it as a tool to help you reach goals and happiness.
What traits or characteristics are a part of you that you embrace professionally?
