In September of this year, St. Paul High School opened their new building. The students are very excited to start classes in the new building. Almost all of the high school classes will be held in the new building, while the old building will hold the middle school classes.
All of the students seem to really enjoy having an additional building added to their school. High school senior Jessica Tuck, said, "It's a really nice building. It's big, and it's great to have all of your classes in one hallway. You can get to your classes faster and it's fairly easy to find a teacher if you have questions for them." The new building consists of a large library, a gym, eight classrooms,  three offices, two locker rooms, two restrooms, along with several storage and mechanical rooms.
The class of 2009 was the first class to graduate in the new building.  However, the  seniors of 2010 will be the first class to both attend and graduate from the new building. Graduation will be held in the new gym on May 16, 2010.
Since the additional building has given more room to the middle school, more teachers have been hired. The pre-existing teachers who got to move into new classrooms are as excited as their students about the new school. When asked about the new school, Mr. Jacquinot, the high school science teacher, said, "Our students have more opportunities and are exposed to more hands-on activities and lab work. The students are enthusiastic and eager to use the new equipment and facilities. They are responding well to their new environment."
The school year for St. Paul has been going very well so far, and will continue to do so, if our students continue to succeed as they have been.
