Attorney General Steve Six announced Thursday that a Cherokee County jury found Robert Jarman, 46, guilty of the intentional secondary degree murder of his wife, Suzanne Jarman.
Law enforcement officials answer a 911 call made by Mr. Jarman on August 22, 2007. When they reach the couple’s home outside Columbus, they discovered Mrs. Jarman dead from a gun shot wound to the back of the head. Mr. Jarman was charged in February 2008.
With Jarman's criminal history, he faces a sentence of between 147 to 165 months. The defense filed a motion for a new trial which will be heard 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. Sentencing has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Jan. 15, 2010.
