The Morning Sun
PITTSBURG —
Dear Editor,
As we approach Independence Day (July 4). A lot of people still don't get it that this holiday is about more than fireworks, going to the lake, etc. Independence Day is one of the most important holidays we celebrate. It is a day to celebrate the freedom we have today and have had for over 200 years. If you go to the park on July 4 and ask people what they are celebrating most people won't be able to give you the correct answer. Family gatherings, picnics are great but we still need to take a few minutes to remember what we are celebrating. Freedom isn't free. God bless America.
