Lynn Jenkins weekly report states that “Seven months after stimulus, 49 out of 50 states have lost jobs.” I can’t believe she is seriously surprised at this fact. This is a Republican recession, that is deep enough that it will take years to recover from. Apparently she has never bothered to study the Hoover depression, or she would already have understood the magnitude of the harm her party is capable of inflicting on our people. It took three decades for a complete recovery from that Republican catastrophe. I suggest that she read more then the Heritage Propaganda to broaden her vision of the world.
Since Reagan, the Republicans have been touting the idea of how good it is that our former employment opportunities now rest with the Communist Chinese. They look on the short term benefit of cheapness as a sign of accomplishment. It is too hard for them to understand that if we have no job base to fall back on, lost prosperity rapidly affects all of society, even the greedy merchant who cry’s out for more cheaply made foreign merchandise. Another fact they tend to ignore is when the majority of your customers loose buying power by restricted wages, it will eventually harm your business. Our nation has been propped up by Credit Card debt for the last 30 years, and without something of tangible value we have no true wealth. The “Party of No” is doing all that it can to drive this nation beyond recovery.
