Infamous Trials at Miners Hall
“Infamous Trials in Crawford and Cherokee Counties” is a special program offered at Miners Hall Museum as part of its quarterly exhibit focusing on police and fire in the region. The program will focus on big trials from the area through the years. The program is free to the public and begins at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Brian Hicks at Kansas Crossing
Brian Hicks is one of the most sought-after stand-up comics in the nation, and this Saturday he is coming to Kansas Crossing Casino and Hotel along with Midwest comedian Fritz Nothnagel. Tickets for the show are $15 and can be purchased at www.kansascrossingcasino.com or at the box office the day of the show, beginning at 5 p.m. The show begins at 8 p.m.
The Crawford County Fair will be bringing in multiple classes of tractors to pull at Bill Peak Arena Friday. The tractor pull often draws large crowds for a night full of entertainment. Tickets for the tractor pull are available online at www.outhousetickets.com as well as at the gate for $5. The pull begins at 7:30 p.m.
The demolition derby is one of the largest events at the Crawford County Fair. The derby brings in over 30 cars, whose drivers will battle to the last vehicle standing. The derby takes place at Bill Peak Arena at the Crawford County Fairgrounds and begins at 7:30 p.m Saturday. Adult tickets are $15, $10 for children.
Crawford County Fair activities
Along with the beef show at 8 a.m. Friday and livestock sale at 2 p.m. Saturday, the fair offers food vendors, a carnival and live music each night. Friday’s music will be provided by Stone Country, with local favorites, The Barnstormers, performing Saturday. All live music shows are free to the public.
