With the help of three departments at Pittsburg State University, a new kiosk has been created for the Crawford County Historical Museum. The new display tells the story of the Cow Creek Skirmish using text, photographs, art, and maps. The fighting, which took place in 1864 during the Civil War along Cow Creek, started near the site of the current Pittsburg Waste Water Treatment Plant and ended near Atkinson Street.
