Former Pittsburg State University basketball player Ed Morris is enjoying a solid season in the Australian Professional State Basketball League.
Morris, who earned first-team All-MIAA honors as a senior at Pitt State in 2007, is averaging 21.7 points and 12.8 rebounds per game for the Stirling Senators. He has logged 15 double-doubles while helping the Senators to a 10-12 record.
Morris was a runner-up for the State Basketball League Player of the Week honors Monday, after averaging 27.5 points, 16 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a pair of wins last week against the Rockingham Flames and the Mandurah Magic.
He earned the player of the week honors earlier this season when he contributed 33 points and 17 rebounds in a two-point victory over the Kalamunda Eastern Suns.
Morris is in his first season competing in the Australian State Basketball League, after playing professionally in Spain in 2008.
