The Kansas Supreme Court threatened to close every public school in the state before the landmark case Montoy v Kansas was finally dismissed in 2006. But Wednesday, the attorney who made legal history when he sued the state Legislature for inequitable school funding said it's time for the court to re-establish jurisdiction.


German film crew traveling across U.S. stops in Kansas

DODGE CITY, Kan. —

Cameraman Michael Donneshak set up a shot Wednesday afternoon in front of a Wyatt Earp statue, then whistled to signal three onlookers to move over. A film crew arrived Tuesday in Dodge City, Kan., to shoot footage for their upcoming television documentary, "With the Train Across America," for the network NDR Germany.
