The family & friends of Eugene Darrell Wright & Rose Marie Wright are proud to announce that on Oct. 10th. & 11th, 2009, they will be celebrating their 60th. Wedding anniversary. Eugene was born in Pierce City, Mo. Sept. 5th. 1927 & Rose was born in Arma, KS Aug. 6th, 1930. They were married at the Girard, KS Courthouse on Oct. 13th, 1949. Rose has been a lifelong homemaker & Eugene was in the Merchant Marines & honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1952. From 1952-1955 he worked for Watson Airport in Pittsburg, KS, attended school, & worked for a short time for TWA Airlines. In 1955 he went to work for United Airlines, which he later retired from in 1987. They moved from California back to Kansas in April 1987, where they have resided in the same home for 22 years. Eugene & Rose had three children Janet, Jules (whom passed in 1978), & Karen. Eugene & Rose also have four grandchildren Gene, Cheryl, Jeremy, & Stacy. They also have four great grandchildren Andrew, Rachel, Emily, & Kaylee. Some of Rose's hobbies include reading, playing cards, putting puzzles together & having garage sales. Some of Eugene's hobbies include renovating their home, carpentry i.e.: grandfather clocks, windmills, & porch swings. Most of all they both love to travel.
