Raymond and Hattie Turkington of McCune will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on September 26, 2012. Raymond Lee Turkington and Hattie Marie Autem were united in marriage on September 26, 1947 at the Danforth Chapel, Lawrence, Kansas. Ray is retired from Harvest Brand and Hattie is retired from Crawford County District Court. They now reside in McCune, Kansas where they remain active in their community. The couple have two children, daughter Debbie Innes (Ron) of Wichita and son David Turkington (Maye) of Livermore, California. Two granddaughters, Kim Jones (Shelly) of Kansas City, Missouri and Kerry Connell (Ronnie) of Topeka and one grandson, Tyler Turkington (Erica) of Olathe. The couple also has one great granddaughter, Hayley Connell of Topeka. They will be celebrating their anniversary with a reception on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the McCune Community Center and hosted by their family. The couple requests no gifts.
