Working a trade show in Tulsa is no way to spend Super Bowl Sunday.
For those of you planning to host or partaking in a Super Bowl party this weekend, enjoy it a little bit more and the little extra enjoyment will be shared by those of us who are unable to enjoy this weekend.
Buffalo wings, party subs, pizza, chips and queso, your beverage of choice … boy, how one can really miss a Super Bowl party.
I guess there is always next year — Super Bowl XLV — or Super Bowl 45 for you non-Romans.
For the record, to answer the question on the minds of the few readers of this column (Craig, who do you want to win?), this travel columnist was pleased to get the Colts-Saints match up he sought before the playoffs began, but to pick a winner?
Well, it’s hard to go against Manning, but Brees deserves a ring too.
I’ll take the team with the Kansas connection — the Colts starting guard Ryan Lilja graduated from high school in Kansas, played junior college football at Coffeyville and then at Kansas State.
Give me the Colts winning a high-scoring game in overtime, something to keep the fans glued to the game to the bitter end.

Tulsa Sport Boat and Travel Show
Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel is absent this year, but the 54th annual Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show is still loaded with things to see and destinations to visit.
Following up on Monday’s VIP Night, the show continues today, Saturday and Sunday at the QuickTrip Center at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds Expo Square.
Show hours are 12 p.m.-10 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday.
Some of the highlights include:
• The Dolphin Seabreacher J Concept Boat – imagine a personal watercraft that resembles a dolphin and can cruise on the water at 40 mph and underwater at 20 mph – that’s right, a semisubmersible personal watercraft (will submerge up to six feet under).
• Five-year-old fishing phenom Cody Hays and his Future of Fishing demonstrations.
• A 40x40 kayak pool where visitors can take free kayak rides.
• A 40-foot long bass tub with 4,000 gallons of water and various species of fish for viewing.
• SpongeBob Squarepants will visit on Saturday.
• Extreme wakeboarding demonstrations by the Thomas Marine Air Nautique Team on the Rail Jam three shows today and Saturday and one on Sunday.
• And numerous pro anglers providing seminars each day.
Admission is $10 per person, children 12-under free and discount coupons are available at all Subway stores in Tulsa.
