Doris and Ed Bert of Sterling Heights, Michigan are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Ann, to Joel Kristen Scott, son of Michael and Nancy (Scott) Brewer of Pittsburg, Kansas, and James Scott of Port Hope, Michigan. Jennifer is a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Humanities, and a MA in Counseling from Central Michigan University. Jennifer is employed as a Case Manager for Volunteers of America Colorado Branch. Joel also attended Central Michigan University and is presently employed in management at Le Grand Bistro and Oyster Bar in Denver. Joel is the grandson of Dorothy and the late Raymond Hoff of Pittsburg. The couple will be married in Leland, Michigan on the Leelanau Peninsula on August 18, 2012.
