An open house to celebrate the 75th birthday of Oliver Minor will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the west room at Schlanger Park Community Center.
Minor, formerly of Pittsburg, now resides in Joplin. He worked for most of his career at Pittsburg State University as an electrician supervisor.
The open house, open to all family members and friends, is being hosted by his daughter, Kathy Minor Hernandez, and her family, and his companion, Treva Ferrier.
The only gift requested is the presence of family and friends to help celebrate the occasion and memories to share.
