On July 22, representatives of the local classic car club, Rollin’ Nostalgia, of Pittsburg, Kansas made a presentation to Wesley House.
The $500 check from the Hot Rod car club was in support of Wesley house’s annual back-to-school project. Local children and families that need help with purchasing school supplies for the upcoming school year stand to benefit from the donation.
Members Rob Strickland and Lyle Telfer indicated that Rollin’ Nostalgia tries to support worthy causes in the local communities.
“We do a July 4 car show, and the process secured from this show allow us to benefit local causes,” Strickland said.
“It is our desire to be able to give back to the community for the support that we get on July 4,” Telfer said.
“We chose Wesley House after hearing of the great need for help with school supplies” Strickland said.
Wesley House officials said they were grateful for the support.
