Elks breakfast
Pittsburg Elks Lodge No. 412 will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.
Menu will feature eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, with coffee and orange juice. Cost will be $6 per person.
Legion lunch
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will have a noon lunch for members only at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
Cherokee breakfast
CHEROKEE — Cherokee American Legion will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.
Menu will offer five breakfast plates, each costing $5. They are biscuit and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns; two pancakes, two sausage patties and eggs; biscuit and sausage gravy, hash browns and sausage patties; two pancakes, two sausage patties and hash browns; and eggs, sausage patties and hash browns.
Coffee is included in the price. Milk or juice will be available for an additional 50 cents.
Scrabble Club
Pittsburg Scrabble Club NASPA 613 will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. Players of all skill levels may participate. Anyone needing additional information may contact club director Dan Lee at 620-249-2574.
Lyerla birthday
Donna Lyerla, longtime Pittsburg music educator, will be honored with an 80th birthday celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 816 E. Quincy.
All friends, current and former students may stop by to wish her a happy birthday.
