Kiwanis Club

Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Stephanie Webb will present the program on the services offered by Mosiac.

Cashier will be Joe Beauchamp and Rick Hudson will serve as greeter. Paula Shaw will give the invocation.

Master class
Soprano Sarah Wolfson will present a master class and work with Pittsburg State University voice students at 5 p.m. in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall.

All interested persons may attend the master class.

Wolfson, who has performed with the Wolf Trap Opera Company, Santa Fe Opera and numerous other opera companies and music festivals, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the recital hall as part of the PSU Solo and Chamber Music Series. Concert tickets are $12 for the general public, $8 for persons over 65 or under 18, and free for full-time PSU students.
Tickets may be obtained in advance at the University Ticket Office or at the door.

School skate
Frontenac school skate will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.

Phi Kappa Chapter
Phi Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, will meet at 7 p.m. at Barto’s Idle Hour for initiation of new members.

TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.

Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.

Frontenac bingo
Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will sponsor bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

TOPS KS 1120 Pittsburg will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library.

Mission of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is to support members as they take off and keep off pounds sensibly. The organization offers an Exchange program with no special foods to buy and weekly private weigh-in. Annual membership is $28 for adults 18 and older.
Children aged 7 to 17 and spouses of members may join at half price. The first visit is free.
Anyone needing additional information may call 620-235-1790.

Columbus dance
COLUMBUS — A dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday at the Cherokee County Hospitality Center, 516 N. Kansas, Columbus.

Admission is $4. Anyone needing additional information may call 1-417-540-8379.
