Flag raising
John F. Derby Post 43 Frontenac American Legion will present a flag dedication ceremony at Old Glory car wash in Frontenac at 1 p.m. The ceremony will include the singing of the National Anthem, guest speaker Lt. Col. Christopher A. Lambert of the U.S. Army, music and refreshments provided by Pepsi of Pittsburg and Pallucca’s Market of Frontenac. The entire community is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Veterans dinner
Cherokee American Legion Post 35 will be hosting a Veterans Day dinner at 1 p.m. at the Cherokee American Legion post home. Food will be provided by the Legion for all members and their guests.
Success Express 4-H
Success Express 4-H club will have its November meeting and annual dinner at 3 p.m. at the Pichler family’s house. The 4-H club will be wrapping Operation Christmas Child boxes for a community service project. For more information, call 249-5223.
