Locals inducted to honor society

Several area students were among the 34 new members inducted by Phi Theta Kappa honor society at Labette Community College, Parsons.

Students at two-year colleges are invited to join the honor society if they have completed 12 hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average.  The society provides activities and services based on its hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship.

Area students among the new members include: Jenna Johnson, Katelan Lechien and Kimberly Reddick, Pittsburg; Jason Rowland, Galena; Ali Deckard and Alicia Gurnee, Columbus; and Teresa Hilton and Carrin Ketchum, Baxter Springs.
