American Red Cross has planned a day of disaster training for “Make a Difference Day” from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 27. in the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall.

Training  will include two disaster classes taught by Beverly Largent, Pittsburg, longtime Red Cross volunteer. Disaster services orientation and shelter operations will be offered as morning and afternoon sessions, with lunch served at noon.

Those interested in attending should call the Pittsburg Red Cross office at 620-235-1436 so that adequate materials and food can be arranged.
