Legion dance
There will be no weekly dance at the Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 post home because of the July 4 holiday.
Monday, July 6
Win or Bust 4-H
Win or Bust 4-H Club will have a regular monthly meeting at the home of Gary Renn.
The day will start off at 9:30 a.m. with club members in arts and crafts meeting to work on a craft project.
Hot dogs will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the regular meeting around 7 p.m. This will be the last club meeting before the Crawford County Fair.
Frontenac card games
Card games will be played from 1 to 4 p.m. every Monday except holidays at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Building. Primary game is pinochle, but any card game is welcome, and those who wish may bring their own bridge foursome.
Snacks and beverages will be available. Anyone needing additional information may call 230-0707.
TOPS No. 599
TOPS No. 599 (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at College Heights United Methodist Church.
Weigh-in will be from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m., followed by a business session. Anyone needing additional information may call 231-8321.
Library movies
Pittsburg Public Library will present “Anime Movie Night,” a free program for young adults entering seventh through 12th grades, at 6 p.m.
The library will present a popular anime movie chosen by the Young Adult Advisory Council, shown on a new big screen with a theater quality sound system. Anime is a style of animation that originated in Japan. This movie is the highest grossing film in Japanese box-office history, and was named the best animated film by both the National Board of Review and the New York Critics Circle.
Free refreshments will be served.
