Frontenac Rotary

Frontenac Rotary Club will meet at noon at the Miners Hall Museum in Franklin.

Paul Mendicki will present the program on “Tools of the Trade,” the January museum exhibit sponsored by General Machinery. Included are numerous artifacts and mannequins depicting various southeast Kansas occupations.

Joe Sinnett will be sergeant at arms, and Dale Slagle will serve as greeter. Karen Cuendet will be Rotarian of the day and will present the Rotary Minute.

Weir Senior Citizens
WEIR — Weir Senior Citizens will meet for lunch at noon at the Weir Senior Citizens Center, 108 N. Lincoln.

Ham and beans and vegetable soup will be provided. Those attending should bring a side dish or dessert. Table service and beverages will also be provided.

Everyone 50 and older may attend. Blood pressure and blood glucose checks will be available from 11 a.m. to noon. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-396-8944.

Alzheimer’s Family Series
John Von Wedell will present “Alzheimer’s Disease: The Family Series” at 1:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin.

The fifth program in the free series, this will be titled “I Can’t Do This Any More,” with discussion on placement, resources and the decision-making process.

Anyone needing additional information may call 620-421-6550, ext. 1794.

Alpha Kappa Chapter
ARMA — Alpha Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, will have a monthly business meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Karen Zerngast with Nancy Dungan as co-hostess.
Any member unable to attend should contact one of the hostesses.

Xi Pi Chapter
Xi Pi Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, will meet at 7 p.m. at the home of Carolyn Eichhorn. Debbie Skahan will be co-hostess.

Members should bring a white elephant gift for the gift exchange.

Liberal Ladies
Liberal Ladies Who Lunch will meet at noon at 706 W. Second for chili and conversation. Those who prefer may bring their own lunch.

Chicopee card games
Card games will be played from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday, except holidays, at the Chicopee Community Center.

All card games are welcome. Bridge players do not need to bring a partner, since the game is set up so that everyone plays, even when there is an odd number of players.

Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers will meet every Wednesday at the Homer Cole Community Center. Weigh-in starts at 5 p.m., followed by the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
