A class in “Community Interpreting 101” will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Family Resource Center.

The course will cover the basics on legal and ethical responsibilities as well as effective strategies for interpreting. Lunch will be provided.

Funded by the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas, the class will be presented by the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, Greenbush, and JVS.

it will be provided free to persons who work as volunteer or paid language interpreters. Interested persons may register by contacting Monica Murnan at monica.murnan@greenbush.org or 620-249-7149.
