The Red Cross bloodmobile conducted a community blood drive Jan. 8 at St. Michael’s Parish Hall, Girard. A total of 43 donors registered to give blood.
The Girard United Methodist Church hosted the canteen. Workers were Shirley Burks, Joanne Wiseman, Cheryl Breneman, Nora Eng and Georgine Ent.
Girard Medical Center Auxiliary members who worked in registration were Clare Black, Sally DeMoss, Sue Stewart, Mary Senecaut and June Christy.
Auxiliary workers serving as escorts were Rosemary O’Toole, Isobel Bartelli and Merla Morris.
Patty Leeds, drive coordinator, worked wherever needed. Mary Senecaut served as publicity chairman.
Girard Medical Center maintenance men who unloaded the bloodmobile van when it arrived were Pat Holt, Will Holt and Derek Crumpacker.
Girard High School FFA members and sponsors Alan Boultinghouse and Joe Curran re-loaded the van at the end of the day. FFA members working were Paxton Boore, Molli Harris, Lakynne McElroy, James Spieth, Katy Jayhay, Devin Vail, Samantha Guy, Latricia Pride, Kord Curran, Kaylee Pouche, Ashley Horton, Amber Morris, Haley Pitts, Katy Pitts, Abigail Stephans, Brittnee Julian and Nikole Kroenke.
