Senior exercise
A weekly free senior exercise group will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin.
Sponsored by Girard Medical Center, the session offers simple movements and stretching to help with upper and lower body strength, cardiovascular and overall health.
Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.
Kiwanis Club
Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Katy Parker will give the program on the Family Peace Initiative.
Joan Fields will serve as greeter and Joe Beauchamp will be cashier. Sharon Barone will give the invocation.
Franklin Farmers Market
FRANKLIN — Farmers/Crafters Market will be held from 4 p.m. until sold out at the Franklin Community Park, located on Business 69 Highway, six miles north of Pittsburg.
Girard USD 248
GIRARD — Girard USD 248 Board of Education will have a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the board office.
A budget hearing is planned at 7 p.m. There will also be review of employee recommendations and various reports.
Phi Kappa Chapter
Phi Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, will meet at 7 p.m. at Carrington Place.
Members will discuss and approve the annual calendar and fall rush events. New philanthropic projects will be presented.
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming dinner at Wesley house.

TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.
Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.
