Jewelry sale
Via Christi Auxiliary will have a Masquerade jewelry sale from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the hospital.
All items, including jewelry, bags, iPad bags, scarves and gift items are priced at $5. Proceeds from the sale will go toward the auxiliary’s annual gift to the hospital.
Senior exercise
Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin, will offer a free senior exercise class at 8:30 a.m.
Sponsored by Girard Medical Center, the session offers simple movements and stretching to help with upper and lower body strength, cardiovascular and overall health. Instructor is Beth Simpson. Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.
Kiwanis Club
Pittsburg Noon Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Steve Robb will present the program on the Coal Bucket Art Fest.
Helen Kriegsman will serve as cashier, and Lea Anita Lemmons will be greeter. Peggy Snyder will give the invocation.
USD 248 board
GIRARD — Girard USD 248 Board of Education will have a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office in Girard.
School skate
Westside and Lakeside Elementary Schools will have school skates from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.
