Elks celebration

Pittsburg Elks Lodge 412 will have a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the lodge, 2312 W. Fourth.
Doors will open at 6 a.m., with brunch at 10 a.m. Brauts, kraut and augratin potatoes will be served. There will be drink specials all day. The first 25 people who come out will receive free T-shirts.
Anyone needing additional information or wishing to call in orders may call 620-232-1460.

Cherokee breakfast
CHEROKEE — Cherokee American Legion will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.
Menu will offer five breakfast plates, each costing $5. They are biscuit and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns; two pancakes, two sausage patties and eggs; biscuit and sausage gravy, hash browns and sausage patties; two pancakes, two sausage patties and hash browns; and eggs, sausage patties and hash browns.
Coffee is included in the price. Milk or juice will be available for an additional 50 cents.

Veterans representative
The Vietnam Veterans service representative will not be at the  Pittsburg American Legion post home this month because of illness.
He will be here April 20 and 21, and all appointments will carry over to next month at the same time.

Vilmer Post
Betty Lou Vilmer American Legion Post will meet at 11 a.m.  at the American Legion Post Home.
Nomination of officers will be conducted. March 15 is the 94th birthday of the American Legion, and in observance of this a film will be shown on the history of the organization.

Legion lunch
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will have a noon lunch for members only at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.

Scrabble Club
Pittsburg Scrabble Club NASPA 613 will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library.
Players of all skill levels may participate. Anyone needing additional information may contact Dan Lee, 620-249-2574.
