Azrim Temple No. 81, Daughters of the Nile, will have its annual luncheon, bazaar and card party Nov. 7 at Mirza Shrine.
The fundraising event will be open to the public. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the purchase of prostheses, braces and orthopedic supplies for children treated at Shrine hospitals.
Doors will open at 11 a.m. so those attending may shop for baked goods, fall and Christmas decorations and craft items. The ways and means committee will also feature a number of designer purses for sale.
A Hawaiian luau will be served at noon, catered by Bill Moody and served by Mirza nobles.
Temple queen Dee Zortz’s project, an American jacket, will be raffled off during the afternoon. Tickets are still available for this jacket, and can be purchased at the luncheon.
There will be no style show at the event this year, but those attending may expect a “special surprise.”
Remainder of the afternoon will be spent playing cards or games of choice. Punch will be served by members of the Crawford County Nile Club, with Sheri Smith, junior past queen, as chairman.
Cost for the event will be $12. Reservations can be made by calling Mary Lou Williams at 231-1826.
