Cole Courtney and MacKenzi Tims, Northeast Junior High School eighth grade graduates, were selected by the school staff to receive American Legion Awards, sponsored by Lon Helm American Legion Post No. 182, Arma.
Cole Courtney and Jessica Choate also received the Kansas State High School Activities Association Citizenship Awards for the 2007-2008 school year.
Presentations were made during graduation exercises May 21 by Ray Vail of the Arma American Legion and Lawrence J. Hill, Northeast Junior High principal.
Cole Courtney is the son of Curt and Pam Courtney, Arma. MacKenzi Tims is the daughter of Matthew and Mitzi Cronister, Arma. Jessica Choate is the daughter of Daniel and Tonya Choate, Arma.
