Mr. and Mrs. John Gaddy will be honored with a reception recognizing 60 years of marriage. The reception will be held at the Homer Cole Center, 3003 N. Joplin St., Pittsburg, Kansas on Sunday, November 1, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All family and friends are invited to share with them by your presence on this special occasion. No gifts please, cards appreciated. Bonnie Alice Hudson and John Lewis Gaddy, Sr. were united in marriage October 29th, 1949, at the First Nazarene Church parsonage by the late Rev. Wayne Sears. The ceremony was witnessed by the late Elmer and Wanda Redd. They are presently members of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church. They have been lifelong residents of Pittsburg. John worked many years for Dickey Clay Manufacturing Co., then at USD #250 for a time before being employed by PSU for many years. Bonnie has been a homemaker for many years, and then worked for nursing homes in the area before becoming employed by PSU also for many years. John and Bonnie retired together in 1996 from Pittsburg State University. They are spending their retirement years enjoying their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as dancing at various Senior Facilities enjoying many good friends. Come share in this joyous occasion with us!
