The class of 1954 of Crawford Community High School, Cherokee, held its 55th graduation reunion June 20 at the Cherokee Community Center.

Incoming University of Kansas students and their parents from Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, Neosho, Montgomery and Wilson Counties will be welcomed into the KU family at the Jayhawk Generations Welcome Picnic at 4 p.m. July 12 in Pittsburg.

Tyler Scifers, Pittsburg, a student at Baker University, Baldwin, was honored recently at Baker’s Undergraduate Research and Performance Symposium.

The Fifth Annual Fourth of July Brunch for the 21st Century Seekers Class of the First Christian Church met to celebrate the holiday.
