St. John bazaar
St. John Lutheran Church will have a bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost will be $4.50, which includes beverage and dessert.
Can collection
Members of Sunflower Kiwanis Club will collect aluminum cans from 8 a.m. to noon in Dillon’s west parking lot.
Funds received will be used during the year for area children’s activities and needs.
‘Gift of Freedom’
FRANKLIN — Franklin Community Council, Inc., will host its annual “Gift of Freedom” veterans program at 1 p.m. at the Franklin Community Center and Heritage Museum.
A luncheon, by invitation only, will precede the program.
Youngsters from Northeast Elementary School will provide a musical program in the style of a USO show. Special guests, in addition to area veterans, will include State Sen. Bob Marshall, Crawford County Commissioner Linda Grilz and Anne Emerson from U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback’s office.
Food Share America
Food Share America orders for November will be taken from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the west gym door of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Food Share America is a non-profit food purchasing program that offers savings because volunteers help sort, package and distribute food which is purchased in bulk. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-347-8704.
Knitting Circle
Pittsburg Public Library will host its monthly knitting circle from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Knitters of all skill levels may attend all or part of the session, which will be under the supervision of Stephanie Joiner.
Mulberry dinner
MULBERRY — Chicken and noodle dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mulberry Senior Citizens Center. The event is being sponsored by Mulberry Homecoming.
Menu will feature chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, bread, dessert and beverage.
Cost will be $6 for adults and $4 for children aged 4 to 10. Those 3 and younger will eat free.
Noon feed
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will have a noon feed for members only at the post home.
Scrabble Club
Scrabble Club NASPA 613 will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. Players of all skill levels may participate.

Sheffield Club
Sheffield Community Club, Inc., will have a business meeting at 5 p.m. at the club.
Legion dance
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will have a dance, open to the public, from 8 p.m. to midnight at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
There will be a $5 cover charge for those attending.
