Pittsburg Family YMCA Academy of Dance to have 2 camps this month

Pittsburg Family YMCA Academy of Dance will have two camps in July.
A “Prince and Princess Camp” for those aged 3 to 5 will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 7 to July 11. Students will participate in tap, jazz and ballet.
In addition, etiquette techniques will be included, as well as craft and snack times. Special awards will be presented at the conclusion of camp.
A technique camp for dancers aged 6 to 18 will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. July 28 to Aug. 1. Dancers will focus on stretching, strengthening, ballet, technique and leaps and turns.
Both camps will be under the direction of Shelley VanShaar, YMCA dance director. Camp attendance will be limited, and interested persons should register at the YMCA. Anyone needing additional information may call 231-1100.
