Girard Coffee Break
GIRARD — Janice LaForge will host a Girard Area Chamber of Commerce “Morning Coffee Break” from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Madison House Bed and Breakfast.
LaForge will provide coffee and cookies and possibly a door prize. There will also be a drawing of all Chamber members for a $25 Chamber Check. Winner must be present.

Senior Citizens Club
Senior Citizens Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. at Lincoln Center for finger foods and bingo. Those attending should bring a covered dish or pay $2 to eat.
Cost to attend the meeting is 50 cents. Anyone needing additional information about the club may call the Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department at 231-8310.

Legion bingo
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host bingo night, open to the public, at 6:30 p.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
Canteen will open at 5:30 p.m. and feature burgers, chicken strips and steak sandwiches.

Artists reception
CARTHAGE, Mo. — An artists’ reception with wine and hors  d’ oeuvres will be held at 6 p.m. for artCentral  at Hyde House, 1110 E. 13th, Carthage.
Currently on display at artCentral is new photography by Bill Perry, mixed media work by Rebecca Perry and sculpture by Aaston Stovern.

Weir blood drive
WEIR — Community blood drive will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the CAP Building, Lincoln and Forest, Weir.
Those wishing to give blood should call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (448-3543) to schedule an appointment.
