Rotary Club

Pittsburg Rotary Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Taka Kido will present the program on weight management.

Jeff Wilbert will give the invocation, and Doug McCurley will be song leader. Joe Leek will have introductions, and serving as sergeant at arms will be Brian Sullivan.

New Beginnings
New Beginnings, a social fellowship and dinner for widows, will meet at 11 a.m. at Otto’s Cafe. Ann Pugh is chairman.

All widows, new and old, may attend.

Turkey dinner
FARLINGTON — Farlington United Methodist Church will host a turkey dinner and bazaar from 5 to 7 p.m.

Traditional menu will feature turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, green beans, cranberry sauce and assorted pies. Carry-out will be available.

Cost will be $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.

Steak night
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will have steak night, open to the public, at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.

Canteen will open at 5 p.m. and feature ribeye steaks, sirloin tips, burgers, steak sandwiches and chicken strips.

Archaeological Society
Four-State Amateur Archaeological Society will meet at 6:45 p.m. in room 108, Yates Hall, Pittsburg State University. The program will be on the ancient Inca cities of Peru and adjacent areas.

All interested persons may attend. Youngsters should be accompanied by an adult.

Rob Morris OES
Rob Morris Chapter No. 74, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 3105 N. Joplin. Betty Oehme and Claude Oehme will preside in the East.

Meeting will open in short form, and a practice initiation will be held. There will also be draping.

Refreshments will be furnished by Barbara Oehme and Ruth Shock.

Elks bingo
Elks Lodge No. 412 will host bingo at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday.

Overeaters Anonymous
Overeaters Anonymous will meet at 6 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Arma bingo
ARMA — Arma American Legion Post 182 will sponsor bingo, open to the public, at the post home.

Tristatesmen Chorus
JOPLIN, Mo. — Tristatesmen Barbershop Chorus welcomes men to join in an old fashioned barbershop sing at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the First Community Church, 15th and Murphy Blvd., Joplin, Mo.

Frontenac/Arma Lions
Newly formed Frontenac/Arma Lions Club will meet at 6 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Center to establish a regular meeting time and place, elect club officers and set goals for the club.

Don Cunningham, Lions International representative, will be present to discuss Lionism. Refreshments will be served. Anyone needing additional information may contact Ken Rokos, 620-724-8393.
