Brooke Nicole Marshall of Frontenac and Bo Levi McGown of McCune were united in marriage on June 14, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church of Frontenac. Rev. Verl Strong officiated the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Brian and Brenda Marshall and the groom is the son of Warren and Karen McGown.
The Maid of Honor was Jodi Smardo, friend of the bride, and Kilie McGown, sister-in-law of the groom, was the bridesmaid. Best man was Dale McGown, brother of the groom, and the groomsman was Brett Marshall, brother of the bride. Candlelighter was Audrey Perez, niece of the groom. Flower girls were Alexis Perez, Machia, Lea, and Alaina McGown, all nieces of the groom. Ring bearer was Houston McGown, nephew of the groom. Guest Book was attended by Rebecca Perez, sister of the groom. Ushers were Aaron Bowin and Rodney Schulze, friends of the groom. Soloist was Lisa Mahnken accompanied by her husband, Steve Mahnken. Organist was Margaret Cinotto.
After the ceremony, family and friends enjoyed a dinner and dance reception at the Mirza Shrine Temple in Pittsburg, KS.
The couple honeymooned at Daytona Beach, Fla., and returned to their home in Webb City, Mo. Brooke completed her year of teaching kindergarten at Webb City while Bo graduated from Pittsburg State University in December 2008 and accepted a job in Wichita, KS, in the area of plastics in January 2009. Both Brooke and Bo are now living in the Wichita area. Brooke will be teaching preschool and coaching in Burrton, KS, while Bo will continue to be employed by Leading Technology Composites in Wichita.
