Police: Man crashes casino floor sweeper

State police arrested a Norwich man Sunday on charges he drove a small floor sweeper into the rear of a Mohegan Sun maintenance department pickup truck.

Tony Ly, 24, was charged by the state police casino unit with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police said that at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Ly accessed the valet parking garage and broke several overhead lights before crashing the floor sweeper. The sweeper sustained minor damage, police said. No injuries were reported. The motive for the incident is unclear.

Ly was released on bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 12 in Norwich Superior Court.
