The group will meet 3 p.m. in the 2nd floor conference room at the Pittsburg Public Library. Representatives of the State Democratic Party are scheduled to make a presentation. Committees will be discussed as well as future events. Anyone interested in Democratic politics is welcome to attend.

Arma American Legion will have bingo open to the public starting at 6:30 p.m. This week progressive blackout will pay $350 for 52 numbers. The high roller progressive bingo will pay $1,149 this week for 48 numbers.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0975, Girard, meets every Monday at 511 N. Western in Girard, KS. Private weigh-in will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. A support and motivational program is presented each week to encourage members to reach and maintain weight loss goals. The group will at noon. The hostess is Susan Cason. Co-hostesses are Shirley Thomas, Joanna Freeman, Amy Herring, Cheryle Moore and Kim Plouvier. The program is "What is my PEO Connect?,” presented by Joanna and Samantha Rhodes.

Veteran’s Representative

A representative will be at Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone with questions about veterans’ affairs is welcome. For more information call 620-231-9773.

 

Chapter IO of P.E.O

The group will meet 1 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. Ellen Cobb and Hannah Pommier will be co-hostesses. The program, Bell, Book and Candle, will be given by Bev Clarkson, library director. Yearly dues will be collected

 

 

PEO Chapter CJ

The group will meet at 6 p.m. at the Art Forms Gallery, 620 N. Broadway. Hostess with be April McKemy with co-hostesses Ashley Wadell and Debbie Longan. Natalie Vanderbeck will present the Founders' Day program. There will also be an art gallery tour and presentation. Chapter dues of $50 are payable to CJ’s treasurer and will be delinquent March 1.
