Seussical the Musical
Pittsburg High School Theatre is presenting its production of Seussical the Musical at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $10 for reserved floor seating, $8 for reserved balcony and $5 for general admission balcony. All performances take place at Memorial Auditorium.
Pitt Ice Bowl
The Pitt Disc Golf Club is hosting its 9th annual Ice Bowl. The tournament will raise money and canned goods for Wesley House. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with open play starting at 10 a.m. Registration cost is $10 plus 10 canned goods or $20. The tournament takes place at Lincoln Park.
This Broad’s Way
Jeri Sager will perform with the Southeast Kansas Symphony at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts at Pittsburg State University Saturday. Sager is a Broadway veteran best known for her performance as Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “CATS.” Her performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets range from $23 to $30.
The Pittsburg State Gorillas take on Missouri Western Saturday in John Lance Arena. The Pitt State women take the court at 1:30 p.m. followed by the men’s team at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adult general admission, $6 for children and seniors.
Carving wooden dolls at Miners Hall
Nancy Arthurs, host of Miners Hall Museum’s quarterly exhibit Carving a Lasting Legacy, will present a workshop on carving wooden dolls at 2 p.m. Sunday. Arthurs will also share some of the many wooden dolls she has carved over the years. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
