PITTSBURG — A Pittsburg man will spend the next two-and-a-half years in prison after being sentenced on burglary and theft charges in Crawford County District Court Monday.

Gary Lynn Murphy, 56, of Pittsburg was sentenced to 15 months on one count of theft for stealing an 18-foot trailer in April of 2016, and 30 months for a March 2016 burglary in which he was convicted of stealing a 13 inch Macbook Pro, an iPad Mini and a 20 inch television.  Judge AJ Wachter ordered both sentenced to run concurrently.

As part of a plea agreement, a felony theft charge and a misdemeanor criminal damage complaint were dropped.

Murphy was ordered to pay $7,645 in restitution and $876 in court costs.

He will also be subject to 12 months post-release supervision.
